Bikram Yoga Yonge studio is having a 24h yogathon on January 24th to 25th. One-hour classes every 2 hours beginning 8am on January 24th.
All classes are by donation ($5 minimum) with proceeds going to Casey House:
A compassionate healthcare community for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS
Practice yoga for an amazing cause!
Drop-in for a class, bring friends and family, or sign up for your own personal Yogathon challenge, (ex: 3 classes in 24 hours) and get others to sponsor you!
All proceeds go to Casey House.
There will be prizes, BYY’s Biggest Sale Ever, yoga, fun and general merriment through this wonderful day of community and fundraising and they can’t wait to see all of your smiling happy faces!

A few days ago, I wrote a few engagement stories and wanted to share it yesterday but the news breakdown that Kanye West proposed to Kim Kardashian, also a friend of mine just got engaged and was super excited to tell me how her boyfriend… now fiance popped the question. It seems to be the engagement season so let the proposal stories flow. Get your tissues, a cup of tea and relive the excitement on how he asked the question every girl wants to hear.
Janice – My proposal happened when we (my man and I) were on vacation in Varadero, Cuba. We were having lunch in our romantic ocean view room when he popped the question in French and I answered: Oui.
Cora-Lys – They (my friend and her fiance) were having diner at a restaurant where they had their first blind date and after the dessert he got down on one knee and said: It’s time to ask you…Would You Marry Me ? She said: yes.
Kim K. – Kanye West did it at the AT&T park with a 15-Karat diamond ring, fireworks, an orchestra which played Lana Del Ray’s “Young and beautiful”, also Yeezy’s song “Knock You Down”. The words on the jumbotron read: “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!”. Kim said: Yes!! How romantic!!
Emily – On April 13th Justin proposed to his girlfriend Emily at the restaurant where they had their first date. He told her he was running late, had the restaurant opened just for her, and set up hidden cameras all around her. When she sat down at the table, there was a TV in front of her set to take her on a journey that would lead to the proposal of a lifetime. This is what happened…

The DARE TO WEAR LOVE GALA is a fashion runway event like no other, the highlight of both the Dare to Wear Love campaign and Toronto Fashion Week. Event founders Chris Tyrell and Jim Searle of Toronto-based Hoax Couture invite 25 top Canadian fashion designers to participate. Each is given six yards of African fabric from which to produce a one-of-a-kind ensemble, and the resulting creations are modelled at the gala by supermodels, dancers, musicians, and other celebrities, as well as winners of the Dare to Wear Love Challenge. The Gala raises funds to support The Stephen Lewis Foundation in its fight to turn the tide of AIDS in Africa. This year’s event will take place on March 22, 2013.
