GUESS by Marciano new ads for the Spring/Summer 2013 are fab and glamorous. Marciano is Guess’s extension label for woman who prefer trendy fashion forward clothing. The label brings its Spring/Summer 2013 Campaign starring models Leticia Zuloaga and Nadine Wolfbeisser, lensed by the noted photographers Hunter & Gatti. Styled by Martinia Nilsson, the models pose in a backdrop of columns and statues and show off their sun kissed skins in a series of evening gowns featuring draped and body hugging silhouettes. Gold accessories and high heels make the outfits perfect for a sultry evening, with teased wavy hair and smoky eyes. And this new ads is all about luxury! London Plus Size Fashion Week held their inaugural event over the weekend in London. The 2-day events included dressing tutorials, panel discussion, and a runway show for women’s fashions sized 8 (UK size: 12) and up. The show hosted 13 designers, and a bevy of curvy plus-sized models full of confidence. The plus sized fashion industry credits Kim Kardashion, Beyonce, and other curvy stars with helping boost interest in plus-sized high fashion.
Cupcakes were served backstage and models were greeted on the catwalk with full applause- a world away from the official London Fashion Week shows around the corner. After reading a few review of the inaugural event, it looks like London Plus Size Fashion Week has carved out its own place during London Fashion Week. Get more at http://www.lpsfw.com.
“At the end, I hope there won’t be two segregated shows. But for now, we want to give curvy women an option,” said Rianne Ward, one of the organisers of the event and the creator of online magazine Evolve.
She plans to run the plus-sized event again next year, hoping to emulate the success of New York’s Full-Figured Fashion Week which is in its fifth year.
We should all embrace our shapes and sizes. What do you think about this fashion show ? Let me know in a comment below.
