Alek Wek for Benetton’s Spring 2013 Campaign

alek

Benetton enlisted a diverse array of subjects for their Spring 2013 ad campaign, including Sudanese supermodel Alek Wek and Brazilian transsexual model, Lea T. The dynamic group of models strike energetic poses for photographer Giulio Rusitchelli’s camera in Benetton’s colorful Spring wardrobe.

In a fun video interview, they each speak honestly and openly about their personal lives and what the word “color” means to them.  Besides revealing that, like many women, she chooses outfit colors based on her mood, Alex Wek drops this inspirational gem: “You have to be able to accept yourself bad and good because there is no perfect.” I couldn’t agree more.
