Fashion Around The World

As I researched the different styles, I discovered that the world is full of amazing fashion influences. There are vibrant colors in East Africa, the sultry and sexy vibe in India, and the exaggerated silhouettes in Denmark. It is truly inspirational to see how these different countries express fashion and street style around the world (via African Mag). Let’s look at some of the styles:

Fashion Diaper Bags

I looked up some of  the  nice collection of baby bags to keep up with everything baby bag style.  As a mom to a little one, your day to day bag is pretty much a diaper bag. We have to hold diapers, wipes, bottles, creams, snacks, sippy cups, the list goes on and on and we need something functional and spacious to accommodate all these things. Usually during the week,  you will always see me with not only a diaper bag but also a handbag “my hand bag”.  I have so many things I carry around daily and now that my son is almost two.. I need to hold more and more things like books and toys! I am a fan of diaper bags that are more fashion forward and that don’t necessarily look like a “diaper bag”.  Below are some of the great diaper baby bags I adore .

5 Essentiels For The Mom On The Go

I think they’re few must-have items that every mom should have with her at all times, just to be prepared in case of a chaotic situation. Here are my top 5 life-savers.

The Mom Bag:

mom1

Invest in one great bag large enough to carry around all our daily “chose”–like this Gucci and Michael Kors. With such a fabulous bag no one will ever guess it’s filled with kid’s stuff!

Hand Sanitizer:

mom2

Little fingers loves touching all kinds of things, so you always have to be prepared. I always have hand sanitizer on hand just in case my son decides he must touch that germ filled surface. Bath and Body Pocketbacs are my fav because they smell utterly delicious.

Over-Sized Glasses:

Our morning routines can be brutal. Sometimes we can barely get dressed, much less put on make-up before we get out of the house. So instead I put on a pair of over-sized glasses. (It’s better than looking lie a raccoon because you did not have much sleep). We’ve all been there. Try these great shades from Bebe.

Light-Weight Scarf:

If you’re always cold like me, you’ll appreciate this. Carry a light-weight scarf with you to warm you up and also to hide those food stains you’ve acquired throughout the day, or to simply jazz up a plain outfit. Choose something neutral that can go with everything and can be worn year round. These American Apparel jersey scarves are so budget friendly, you can afford to buy them in every color!

Lip Gloos:

A lip Gloss is a necessity for me. I cannot leave or function without my lip gloss. I hardly ever use lipstick, unless I’m going somewhere special.  This Victoria Secret lip gloss is shiny and moisturizes your Twisted Citris lips immediately.

What are some of your favorite “must-have” items? Let me know in a comment below.

Shoe Obsession Exhibition

A new exhibition at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology Museum is all about fabulous footwear.

Shoes make for feel-good shopping. You’re never too fat for footwear, never too washed out… Small wonder we’re obsessed with what’s on our feet. A new exhibition at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology focuses on just that. Carrie Bradshaw et al paved the way for the rest of us shoe obsessives, making household names of Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo. How better to catalogue our compulsive streak than with 150 examples of the hottest, highest and most heavenly heels?

Shoe Obsession runs 8 February13 April, The Museum at FIT (fitnyc.edu). See more shoe images below.

I don’t know how you can walk in some of those shoes but the Nicholas Kirkwood and the Invisible shoes by Andreia Chaves are by far my favorites.
