Wednesday Inspiration: Black + White

Hope you are having  great week so far. I’m going to share with you a long time crush of mine: black and white. I know, it sounds weird, but it’s soo true. I am totally head over heels in love with the color combination of black and white photography and fashion as well. So here’s my black & white photography and fashion crush!

Be Inspired: The Artist Is Present

a99

Marina Abramovic and Ulay started an intense love story in the 70s, performing art out of the van they lived in. When they felt the relationship had run its course, they decided to walk the Great Wall of China, each from one end, meeting for one last big hug in the middle and never seeing each other again.

At her 2010 MoMa retrospective Marina performed ‘The Artist Is Present’ as part of the show, where she shared a minute of silence with each stranger who sat in front of her. Ulay arrived without her knowing and this is what happened.

This is her ex-husband and first love… she used to peform with him, soulmate..twin flame kind of bond. They hadn’t spoken for years before this and no one told her that he would be coming into the exhibit or sitting with her.Via zengarage.

Chocolate Mousse

a33aBunnies, chocolates, colorful eggs…do they all remind you of a special day? You’ve guessed it right, it is Easter! This year my chocolate mousse is on the menu. See the recipe below:

Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 20g butter
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 cup (250ml) pouring (single) cream
  • 120g raspberries

Place the chocolate and butter in a small saucepan over low heat and stir until melted and smooth. Stir through the egg yolks and set aside. Whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add the brown sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Fold through the chocolate mixture, then the cream. Spoon into serving glasses and refrigerate until set. Top with the raspberries to serve. Serves 2. Via Donna Hay.

Hmmm this is a real “délice”! Will you try this recipe ? or any easter chocolate recipe you would like to share with us ? Let me know in a comment below.
