Homemade Makeup Brush Cleaner

AAAMAKE1I recently came across this recipe for a homemade makeup brush cleaner and I knew I had to try it. This mixture will clean your brushes like no other and it’ll leave them feeling softer than ever. Seriously. I am completely amazed by how well this stuff works. This cleaner is so incredibly easy to make and it’s made from things that most of us already have lying around the house!

What you need:

MAKE1 cup distilled water
¼ cup rubbing alcohol
½ tablespoon castile soap (I love Dr. Bronner’s, which you can get at most drugstores and health food stores)
½ tablespoon hair shampoo (I used Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo)
1 tablespoon leave-in conditioner spray (I used an organic conditioner from Whole Foods)
Small spray bottle

What you do:

Just mix all ingredients together and pour into your spray bottle!

MAKE

To clean, spray the bristles of your makeup brush and then brush onto a clean, dry paper towel to remove all residue. If your brushes are extra dirty (like mine), let them soak in the mixture for a half hour or more before brushing onto a towel. You will be stunned by how well this works! Via bldg 25.
Clean makeup brushes are a huge step towards achieving healthy skin, so try to adding quick cleaning into your weekly schedule! I know I’ll be doing so.xoxo,

Gucci Chime For Change Concert

AAAGUCCI1

After months of build-up and anticipation, Gucci’s Chime for Change concert, named Sound of Change Live, finally took place this weekend at Twickenham Stadium in London. The gig, which is part of a global charity campaign to raise funds and awareness for girls’ and women’s empowerment, was a star-studded affair with some of the world’s biggest music performers on the bill and Hollywood’s A-list hitting the stage as special guest presenters. Beyoncé Knowles was the night’s headline act and did not disappoint with her hit-packed set. She performed all of her biggest tracks, as well as a beautiful rendition of Etta James’ At Last, with rapper husband Jay-Z coming on as a surprise guest to perform his segment of their 2003 global smash Crazy In Love. Other star name performers at Chime for Change included Jennifer Lopez, Ellie Goulding, Florence and the Machine, Haim, John Legend, Timbaland, Rita Ora and Jessie J, as well as special surprise guests Mary J Blige and Duran Duran’s Simon Le Bon. Hollywood’s elite also showed their support for the cause by turning presenters for the evening. These included Madonna, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Jessica Chastain, James Franco, Freida Pinto and Salma Hayek. See more pictures  below of all the star name performers and special guests at Gucci’s Chime for Change concert…
