Brazil is known for many things such as the beaches, the music and the flip-flops. Brazil is also home to some of the biggest athletes and supermodels, but before them came “The Brazilian Bombshell or The Chiquita Banana Girl” who put the country in the map during the 40s and the 50s. She is Carmen Miranda and she is an icon best known for her fruit hat in the 1943 movie The Gang’s All Here.
I remember watching this movie with my mom a zillion time!!! 🙂

This editorial from Vogue Brasil (http://vogue.globo.com/) is titled “Carmen Miranda Reloaded” and it is inspired by the legendary entertainer and it features Mirte Maas in spring’s tropical looks while drawing on Carmen’s saucy fashion sense. The Dutch beauty and her two costars are styled by Vogue Japan’s Editor-at-Large Anna Dello Russo in pieces from Dolce & Gabbana, Marni, Alexandre Herchcovitch and many others. The images are captured by Giampaolo Sgura and they’re all part of Vogue Brasil’s February 2013 issue.
